Association for Church Renewal President, David Runnion-Bareford, has been the Executive Director of Biblical Witness Fellowship, a confessing movement in the United Church of Christ since 1994, and served for 25 years as the Sr. Pastor of a United Church of Christ congregation in New Hampshire. A graduate of Wheaton College and Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, his compelling call of the Holy Spirit to renew the historic church was confirmed in a response to the ministry of Dr. Francis Schaeffer during the lectures that became, The God Who is There in 1967.
David and his wife, Lauren are raising the last two of their multi-racial family of 12 children, on an Island in Pennobscot Bay off the coast of Maine where he pastors the Island’s community church. David is ordained with the United Church of Christ, enjoys privilege of call with the American Baptist Church, and is licensed as a Lay Pastor, Eucharistic Minister and Preacher of the Word of God by the New England Diocese of the North American Anglican Church.
